The Aylmer & East Elgin Agricultural Society (Aylmer Fair) is a non-profit society run under the direction of the OAAS (Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies).
We were established in 1846 and are currently celebrating our 176th year. We are one of the oldest agricultural fairs in District 13 and are run by a Board of Directors, members, and volunteers from our area. We host several events each year and rely heavily on grants, sponsorship, and donations from local businesses.
OUR MISSION
The Aylmer & East Eglin Agricultural Society is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting agricultural education and entertainment by stimulating fairgoers’ natural interest and curiosity through fun displays, games, and competitions that are funded or sponsored by our local businesses and community grants.
OUR VISION
The Aylmer & East Eglin Agricultural Society is proud to preserve and promote, through volunteer work, the importance of agriculture in our society. To maintain a Board of Directors that are enthusiastic with a positive and energetic attitude. To create new events that allow the Aylmer & East Eglin Agricultural Society to be financially stable and capable of improving our grounds and buildings to better entertain our community. To recruit more volunteers to generate new and fresh ideas which create excitement and energy.
